Après avoir travaillé deux ans comme apprenti chez Lenny P. Robert de Daddy Mojo Stringed Instruments, Nic Deslille s'installe et créé "the Island Instrument Manufacture".

L'instrument que nous présentons est son interprétation d'un de ses modèles favoris : Le Stratotone Harmony H44.

Cette petite guitare nommé Fourty four est annoncé comme un prototype.

Model:Fourty Four – Prototype - Specs:

- Body: One-piece, Sinker Cedro Espino, reclaimed from the Panama Canal.
- Top: 7-piece Holly and Ebony with tortoise celluloid binding.
- Neck: Quartersawn Poplar w/ Ebony fretboard. Brass side-dots. 5-piece Holly and Ebony headstock veneer. Bone nut. 5-point machine screw and insert system.
- Tuners: Waverly, Ebony button.
- Bridge: Bisgby saddle and custom base made in-house.
- Pickup: Custom Gold Foil, by Pete Biltoft (Vintage Vibe Guitars), wired directly to Neutrik locking jack.
- Finish: Triple-step process of marine varnish and French Polish of shellac on the top. Oiled body and neck.
- Includes Canadian-made, custom-fit hardshell case.
